What it Looks Like
About the Project
At this fictitious company, work-from-home employees have been struggling to separate work from home life. After deploying a needs assessment it was determined that the problem was threefold
Firstly, employees felt a level of guilt when taking time for themselves throughout the workday, afraid they would be ‘caught stealing time’.
Secondly, because many employees were still new to work-from-home, they lacked time management skills to stay focused when their home had unique distractions such as pets, laundry, and family.
Thirdly, managers were having difficulty transitioning to leading work-from-home teams and were placing too much emphasis on time logged in and not measuring employee success through outcomes
To combat both issues I designed a series of Wellness Training for employees and managers with the aim to close the knowledge gap on what a successful work-from-home day looks like. The manager training focuses on developing clear, measurable outcomes for employee success and trusting employees to complete tasks in a timely manner. For employees, the training builds their skillsets in time management while simultaneously reinforcing the company’s mission for a positive work from home experience and promotion of work/life balance.
